ABOUT US

Evooschool was founded in Rome by the will of Coldiretti National Confederation and the National Association of  Agrotechnicians and Graduated Agrotechnicians.

Evooschool is also supported by Campagna Amica Foundation and Unaprol – Consortium of Olive Producers’ Organizations.

The Foundation aims to advance the olive-growing sector through a cultural project that involves national and international partners from the fields of entrepreneurship, research and institutions.

The main objectives of the Foundation are:

· TRAIN and qualify professionals capable of supporting companies in the olive sector

· PROMOTE knowledge of EVOO and olive growing through courses and seminars of advanced and university level and through introductory and basic activities.

· ENCOURAGE innovative research related to the important health benefits of EVOO and table olives

· SPREAD the knowledge of EVOO and table olives among students, consumers, farmers, oil mill managers, buyers, HO.RE.CA. operators

Evoo School is a meeting and discussion place for all operators and stakeholders in the olive oil supply chain, fostering a direct and authentic relationship with the agricultural world.

The multidisciplinary nature of the School embraces a wide target audience.

The recipients of the courses and training activities offered are, in fact, consumers interested in deepening their knowledge and enhancing their decision-making abilities, students of various levels, farmers, oil mill operators, distribution purchasing managers, olive sector technicians, catering operators, foodies, bloggers, EVO oil enthusiasts.

The teachers of the school are professional tasters, agronomists, technicians and olive oil sector experts, chosen on the basis of the skills and experience gained.

EVOOSCHOOL CEO

Dr Nicola Di Noia was born in Taranto in 1973, Doctor of Forestry, graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture of Bari. He gained his experience at Confederazione Nazionale Coldiretti as National Head of the olive oil sector and as General Manager of the Agricultural Assistance Centre in Coldiretti.

He is a virgin olive oil and table olives professional taster, enrolled in the National List of Technicians and Experts of Virgin and Extra Virgin Olive Oils and IOC panel leader. He has been committed to spread the culture of quality extra virgin olive oil and table olives for years.

He is  the CEO of Evoo School Foundation Ita and Managing Director at Unaprol.

Member of the working group “Olive oil and table olives” of the Copa-Cogeca of Brussels and member of the Advisory Committee on Olive Oil and Table Olives of the IOC (International Olive Oil Council) in Madrid.

He has carried out teaching activities related to human nutrition and feeding, with reference to the legislative aspects of nutritional quality of food at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of La Sapienza University in Rome (A. A. 2004/2005 – 2005/2006).

He is a lecturer in “Food Science and Technology” as part of the three-year degree course in “Enogastronomic Tourism” at Tor Vergata University – Department of History, Cultural Heritage, Education and Society. (A.A. 2021/2022).

TEACHING LOCATION

The school of Evo Oil is in the centre of Rome, in Via Nazionale. There is a Test Room for sensory analysis according to the guidelines of the I.O.C., in addition to the classrooms for training activities.
